Data Correction Policy
Capitol Ledger reproduces filings as officially reported to statutory oversight bodies: the Clerk of the House, Senate Ethics Committee, SEC, and FEC.
If a reporting official or corporate entity submits an amended Periodic Transaction Report (PTR) or updated disclosure, our daily automated pipeline syncs these corrections directly.
To expedite audit of an amendment, include the official document ID or a direct link to the government agency portal.
Whistleblower & Confidential Sources
We protect confidential sources providing documented evidence of non-compliance with the STOCK Act, unrecorded lobbying contacts, or revolving door conflicts.
For sensitive materials, we advise sending from an anonymous email account or off-network device. For PGP public keys or signal coordinates, email tips@capitolledger.org with the subject line [SECURE COMMS REQUEST].
